A range of services and facilities are available to assist visitors in having a convenient and enjoyable visit.

Wheelchair / Stroller Hire

 

Wheelchair and stroller hire is available from the South Bank Visitor Information Centre.

1 hour - $4.40
2 hours - $5.50
over 2 hours - $7.70
(Must be returned by 5pm)

Deposit: $20 plus driver's licence

Internet access

 

The Visitor Information Centre also offers internet access to the general public, allowing travellers and visitors to South Bank the opportunity to catch up with their e-mail or search for websites.

Operating hours of internet access for the public - 9am -4.30pm daily

Cost:
$1 per 10 minutes or part thereof

Locker Hire

 

Lockers are available to hire at South Bank and are located in Stanley Street Plaza near Streets Beach. The lockers are medium size.

Costs:
$3 for 3 hour hire
$6 for 6 hour hire

Lost property

 

For lost property at South Bank please contact the Visitor Information Centre.

Shower facilities

 

The shower facilities at South Bank are located in Stanley Street Plaza.

Bocce hire

 

Bocce (boule) sets are available for hire from the Visitor Information Centre at $2 per set per hour. A deposit of $10 is required. Bocce hire is available during the Visitor Information Centre operating hours and can be played on the lawn behind the Allgas Building and South Bank House.

Bike and rollerblade hire

 

The closest hirer of bikes is Riders Cyclery on Little Stanley Street. (Tel: 07 3846 6200.) The bikes are $12 for an hour, $20 for a half day and $30 for a full day with a $50 deposit paid in either cash or credit.
Riders Cyclery are open 9am - 5pm weekdays and 9am - 4pm on weekends.

To hire rollerblades contact "Skate Biz" on (07) 3220 0157.  They are in the city at 101 Albert Street. $12.50 gets you 2 hours hire, including all safety gear. Or hire the rollerblades overnight for only $20.

Bicycle racks

 

You’ll find bicycle racks:

  • outside the Visitor Information Centre in Stanley Street Plaza 
  • along Clem Jones Promenade 
  • on the Boardwalk 
  • at Suncorp Piazza and
  • on Little Stanley Street.

ATMs (Automatic Teller Machines)

 

Commonwealth and ANZ ATM – in Stanley Street Plaza, beside the Visitor Information Centre.
Suncorp ATM – in the Central Cafes between Kapsali restaurant and New Zealand Natural ice cream shop.
Westpac ATM (x2) – in Grey Street, opposite the South Bank 5 Cinema complex.
Bank of Queensland – ATM and Branch in Little Stanley Street.
